April challenge update 4/6/12

Ran 4.6 miles on the treadmill... It only took me all of one hour. Lol.So right now i am averaging about 13 mins. a mile ... My goal is that one month from now I can shed 2 mins off that time and do 11 mins per mile... That way I can run at least close to 6 miles in one hour.... Cheer me on from afar. Lol
Sn... That brings my running total to 9.74 out of 40... I hope to get in 4 more miles this weekend... My personal goal is run at least 14 miles a week

April fitness challenge update 4/5/12

1st workout of the day was bootcamp which consisted of lifting and lots nd lots of squats... I lost count at 215....The 2nd workout consisted of me running 1 mile in my neighborhood... 124 lunges, 10 sets of 5x5... 60 push-ups,30 sit-ups, 100 side crunches, and 100 bicycles.... Woooo good workout!
Total as of today:
Push-ups: 110
Squats: 695 of 1,000
Crunches: 741 of 2,000
5.14 of 40 miles

Hair/ workout challenge 2012

Hair challenge:
today I completed 7 out of 8 of the items on the hair challenge. I did mit wash my hair today... Todays scripture is John 2:19... I did enjoy that scripture today.. Workout update:
I also did about 1 hour of cardio as well. I went to bootcamp 3 days in a roll this week.. he has us doing 5x5 the whole time. So that was really good cardio... My arms are Def sore... But hey that's a good thing. today was the first time in about 2 weeks that I did not work out for a second time. I went home and went to sleep and when I woke up it was 8pm and I didn't feel like doing any squats or anything...I didn't get a chance to write yesterday but my second workout of the day on Thursday was Zumba... That was a great workout as well. This weekend I gotta get it in with the running...that is my update for the day! Thanks for reading!

Senior options living fair 2012

So this past Saturday, March 31,2012... I would say it was a success... I had a steady flow of attendees... We had contentional breakfast for the vendors as well as food the attendees... My team helped get 1200 in donations. Along 450 dollars in donations from.Boeing... I also had food from fazolis for all my volunteers..it was advertised inbthe newspaper,internet,bulletins in 21 churches.blogs,radio,and new releases and PSA.huge posters and fliers around the city. Attendees also had a free massage and 25 paid confirmed vendors... I created a survey for attendees and vendors and got lots of postive feedback and door prices...below are some pictures... I am just happy that the seniors got the resouces they needed and I was able to build partnerships with other agencies and organizations at the event..The fair was designed to be a one stop shop for older adults to get the resources they need.. Wheather its housing or funneral,or home repair, amp rank,medical it was there... Oh I also had a professional photographer taking pictures of the event. all and all this was a success....

Workout hair

So I went in for my second workout for the day zumba.... I feel like I burned 1,000 calories. But my hair shrunk up something serious.... I lost count on the crunches lets say 250 plus the 60 I did earlier.... So 310 for the day.... I didn't run today so I'm going to have to run 4 miles tomorrow.... Ugh I'm dreading that... I'm not a runner that's why I added this to my challenge because I need that push....I can't w8 to see what my body looks like 4 weeks from now.... Oh I'm back to taking my vitamins again.... I take my multivitamin,fish oil, b-12, and biotin.... Can't w8 to go to kettle bell class tomorrow afternoon.check out my workout hair... ;)

HAIR CHALLENGE 2012

Ok, So I have been so into my new fitness challenge that I completely forgot my hair challenge.. Here it is:
1.Drink Water. 
2.Hair Growth Imagery
3.Massage scalp daily (finger tips)
4.Daily hair regiment (hair spirtz with rosemary oil)
5.Biotin cap (optional) need Medical Doctors ok
6.Weekly scripture meditation 10 minutes a day 
7.60 minutes exercise weekly (20 min 3 x a week treadmill) need Medical Doctor ok
8.Wash hair every 2 weeks with shampoo. Rinse on other times
Challenge ends August 31 2012
Start date April 1 2012
New hair goal shoulder length with curls. Shoulder blade base, arm pits


So far, I have drank 3 glasses of water, I have massaged my scalp this morning, spirtz my hair with rosewater and water, did my one our workout. And I am I about to read the bible on my phone...6 out of 8. I am not doing too bad for someone who forgot the challenge. haha.

4/3/2012 fitness update

221 sit-ups let's just count that as crunches and 70 squats... Did bootcamp today... Going to try to run at least 2 miles at the gym today... So far I am onlyat 4.14 miles over the past 2 days... Good job everyone! Keep up the good work

Day 2 of the April Fitness Challenge


Completed bootcamp today... Currently down 8 pounds and 3 inches when I got measured last week...my bootcamp trainer told me that I only need to lose 8 more pounds... I am being bumped up to his AAA class. Yay... Today I did 90 squats and 50 pushups...I did some lifting today as well & exercises.that worked my thighs and arms in the bootcamp class. I also ran 2.5 miles.
 Current total:
Push-ups: 50
Squats: 150 of 1,000
Crunches: 190 of 2,000
Running: 4:14 miles of 40 miles
BBL: Week 3 out of the 8 week program

(Push-ups arent apart of the challenge buttttt my push ups suck so I am going to try to at least get to 250 by the end of month.In order to perfect it.. I may incorporate push ups in next months challenge. But doing these this month will help me out for next month.)

How many kids is too many when dating someone?

I saw this post on facebook and I had to vent on my blog, bc some people dont know how I feel about children...It might be bc I dont have kids and I am at my forever selfish stage . I just dont want to be anyone stepmom or share my time with a child... then I would be all in my feelings if they spent more time with me then with their kids..I would think they are triflin. So either way I wouldnt be happy. And if u have one or more thats money that you we could we spending on doing things together but u cant bc u gotta pay child support, take ur kids to the movies, park, vacation,etc... Plus I would have to deal with other things that would pop up... But a good thing would be if they do have a kid, they may not want me to have one... Naw I bring it back to my statement.no kids at all... I really dont like kids, and I met a guy that had all the qualities in a man that I want they had a child that would be my deal breaker... I HATE children... I really dont think childbirth is beautiful it looks painful and the mother is depressed and uncomtable for almost a year... Your body and hormones are crazy and ur hospital bill is outrageous! I think I would go into a utter depression if I heard the words: Your pregant" Y'all probably think I am crazy. I am just being real and saying how I feel. I am not trying to offend anyone. I just really dont like kids... And I dont like being around them.. So a man with kids would not work for me.an is already a package deal. I dont want to build a future with someone that I would have to stare at their past everyday. I just feel like I if I managed to not have children why should I settle and be with someone that doesnt have what I want. I am done. Lord pray for me. Now I am itching and stuff thinking about this!

April Fitness Challenge Update

Started my April Fit Challenge with a bang!!!!! I think I went too hard today...worked out twice today. I did my 5am workout. I am going into my 3rd week of the BBL... Went to church & promoted my job next big event.... And I just finished my second workout.... I ran 1.64 miles.... I did 20 biceps curls, 70 squats using a 12 lb kettlebell ball... 40 side crunches with a 12 lb medicine ball. 25 bicycles crunches and 75 regular crunches...my stomach, thighs, & legs hurts...lol... I ended the workout with 15 mins in the steam room... I also did the BBL Slim in 6 days food plan. They promise that you will lose 6 pounds and 6 inches in 6 days... I didn't lose that. I am however down a total of 8 pounds and 3 inches. Not bad for working out twice a day for the past 3 weeks.  I am still doing my two a days... After I finish my BBL and bootcamp with King I am going to pull my insanity DVD out the grave and start working on that. I am interested to see what I look like at the end of April or even 6 weeks from now!
